FACTORING with ALGEBRA TILES

Access the Algebra Tiles activity* and work on the problems below.

Tips for factoring using the virtual algebra tiles:

1) Maximize and Clear the work area

2) Add the tiles that represent the quadratic trinomial to the work area by clicking on them

3) Arrange the tiles to form a rectangle

4) Add matching tiles to the "sideline" area to form the binomial factors

5) Use the "x" and "y" sliders to test your solution.
