There are 400 numbers from 1 to 400, therefore there are 200 even numbers.

You can find 100 "high-low" pairs of numbers that sum to 402, e.g. "2 & 400", "4 & 398", "6 & 396", etc... until you exhaust all possible pairs with "200 & 202."

Therefore, the answer is 100 x 402 = 40,200
